2. Data Required for Providing the Website and Creating Log Files

a) What data is processed and for what purpose?

Each time content on our website is accessed, data is temporarily stored that may allow identification. The following data is collected:

  • Date and time of access
  • IP address
  • Hostname of the accessing computer
  • Website from which the website was accessed
  • Websites accessed via our website
  • Page visited on our website
  • Notification of whether the request was successful
  • Amount of data transferred
  • Information about the browser type and version used
  • Operating system

The temporary storage of this data is necessary to enable the delivery of the website. Further storage in log files is carried out to ensure the functionality of the website and the security of the information technology systems. These purposes also constitute our legitimate interest in data processing.

b) On what legal basis is this data processed?

The data is processed on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR.

c) How long is the data stored?

The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required to achieve the purpose for which it was collected. In the case of providing the website, this is when the respective session has ended.

Log files are stored for a maximum of 24 hours and are only accessible to administrators. Afterwards, they are only available indirectly via backup systems and are permanently deleted after a maximum of four weeks.

d) Hosting and Server Log Files

The website is hosted by STRATO AG,
Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany.

When accessing the website, STRATO automatically collects data in so-called server log files. This includes in particular:

  • IP address (in anonymised form)
  • Date and time of access
  • Accessed pages or files

This data is technically necessary to provide the website, ensure system security, and guarantee stable operation.

Processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure and stable operation of the website).

The server log files are stored by STRATO only for a limited period and are subsequently deleted or anonymised.

We have concluded a data processing agreement (DPA) with STRATO AG in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR.

You have the right to request information pursuant to Art. 15 GDPR about your personal data processed by us.

b) Right to object

You have the right to object for reasons arising from your particular situation.

c) Right to rectification

If the data concerning you is incorrect or incomplete, you may request correction or completion in accordance with Art. 16 GDPR.

d) Right to erasure

You may request the deletion of your personal data in accordance with Art. 17 GDPR.

e) Right to restriction of processing

You have the right to request restriction of processing of your personal data in accordance with Art. 18 GDPR.

f) Right to lodge a complaint

If you believe that the processing of your personal data violates data protection law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in accordance with Art. 77 (1) GDPR.

5. Processing of Membership and Registration Forms

The forms on our website are provided by our service provider DWFormmailer.

For the purpose of transmission and processing, the data is forwarded to the servers of DWFormmailer.
